One has to keep on trying to succeed cause victory doesn’t come easy. We all have some of the other ideas for a business we would like to start but how many of us follow the idea to create reality out of it?
Just like everyone else Shreyansh, Founder Chapai too had an idea based on his interest. But unlike other people, he chose to pursue it with enthusiasm. It all started in September 2018, his interest and love for our culture and the diversity it holds when it comes to clothing, led him to start his own brand eventually. Living in this fast fashion era, sustainable clothing is what attracted him.
Only a few amongst many can see what fast fashion is doing to the environment & advocate against it by opting for sustainable fashion.
Our founder was one such person who was drawn to the beauty of organic clothing. Starting a business isn’t a cakewalk exactly, so initially, it was just one collection, ikat top combined with doriya dupatta. This product was introduced to gain an understanding of how the market works deep within. Then in 2019, we added some cotton-based sets with Chanderi dupatta, malmal dupatta doriya dupatta along some Mangalagiri sets. We would be lying if we said that we never hit the rock bottom or we were never hopeless of what the future holds for us but the zeal to do something, to stand out, to leave our mark in the industry kept us going. Understand the tricks of the market we kept on moving, it was a roller coaster ride, researching, developing, experimenting.
Finally, we had our blockbuster moment when in 2020 we started with Chanderi and Pichwai arts which ruled people’s hearts. It was our moment to shine and we were on cloud nine.
Soon our business picked up a rapid phase. We introduced a lot more products and started giving them suitable exquisite names. Our motive was to bring royal essence to sustainable clothing. Currently, we have 13 fabric collections; Mumtaaz, Saanjh, Bela, Gulzar to name a few. Currently, we operate through our website & social media handles. Every day we try to deliver the best of organic clothing to our customers in which we have been quite successful in our journey so far. We still have a long way to go, providing sustainable fashion in this fast generation. They say, the journey is more beautiful than the destination, we couldn’t agree more.
