Amara

Let your eternal light shine

Saree has its existence deep rooted in the Indian history. It serves as a wardrobe essential empowering the gracious yet valorous women of today. This ideology gave life to this exclusive saree collection, Amara, signifying eternal beauty. The collection is dedicated exclusively to saree, the timeless beauty. The sarees are hand woven with the famous kota doria work by the artisans of Kota. It is a lightweight fabric with a checkered pattern, perfect for you to flaunt in the monsoon season.

Ruhaaniyat

A reflection of purity

Legends say, a drench in the holy Ganga river can prove to be sufficient to illuminate spirituality in an individual and purify his soul.  Deriving inspiration from this very fact, we came up with this special collection, Ruhaniyat which itself signifies spirituality.

It is a hand woven fabric with Banarasi weaving to establish a tranquil and spiritual tone. Golden ‘butti’ are hand stitched to the fabric to enhance its beauty. A chiffon dupatta with digital prints on it adds further grace to the attire.

Forming the soul of the garden

The word Bela refers to something antique and unusual just like our collection. Bela is one of Chapai’s ‘kota doria’ fabrics, available in a variety of designs such as floral, abstract, etc. Kota Doria is a fabric made of tiny woven squares also known as ‘khats’ which are handwoven on a traditional pit loom in Kota and surrounding regions.

The collection got its name Bela, derived from ‘bel’ which relate to  flowers in hindi. Thus the entire collection revolves around flower and floral prints, depicting the calmness nature bestows in the eyes of the viewers.

Saanjh

The beauty of the dusk

The comfort of simplicity can never be replaced by glamour, no matter how lustrous it might perceive to be. Often, brands devote themselves to dominate the market with gleaming products but at Chapai Handlooms we believe, the customer should find solace in the fabric, like one finds during dusk, when the sun is set and life is still. To hold on to this beauty, we came up with “Saanjh”, a cotton collection with hand block prints, all in pastel colours, notifying calmness, simplicity. The prints and colours are inspired from the soothing colours of the sky and the magic it unfolds.

Enlightening the charm

The name came to life through the combination of 2 beautiful words, Ajrakh and Rang and thus we got “Ajrakh k rang ” or Ajhrang. Ajrakh is an ancient block printing method with a 4000 years old history and is still practised by the people in Kutch (Gujarat) and surrounding areas.  The peculiarity of Ajrakh lies in the fact that it uses only organic colours derived from the extracts of fruits and vegetables for the print. Ajhrang showcases its prominence over other patterns through capacious use of blue and red colour, also through its complex geometric and floral patterns.

Leaving our chaap

on bollywood

We believe in starting our day with a new challenge and ending it with a victory. No matter how insignificant the victory may seem to an outsider, it’s a step ahead for us. Rejoicing in the small moments, little did we know that we had a big accomplishment on our way. The famous big screen actress, Taapsee Pannu was spotted wearing one of our prints. A star like her was gracing our brand and it felt like cloud 9. Chapai has made its debut in Bollywood and we intend to accomplish even bigger benchmarks with your love and support.
